Hungry for something different? A new izakaya called Showa Izakaya La has opened up shop at 3470 W 6th St. in K-Town in the former Nam Dae Moon Jip Restaurant space.
Showa Izakaya La features traditional izakaya-style small plates, with dishes ranging from sashimi to fried oysters, chicken karage to takoyaki (octopus balls), as well as some favorites with a Japanese twist, such as a cheese risotto, duck ponzu, or Chinese-inspired buta kimchee. Wash it all down with a cold Japanese beer or sweet sake.

Yelper Long P. added: “The food and service was fantastic. Everything single dish was really good. The duck with ponzu sauce was delicious. We tried two dishes with udon. Amazing!!! The sashimi was good as well.”
And LyLy L. said: "Great food. We had sashimi, garlic clam udon, fried chicken and chicken cartilage, and bbq skewers. Everything was amazing!"
