In need of some children's clothing? A new business has you covered. The newcomer to Los Feliz, called The Reckless Unicorn, is located at 2124 Hillhurst Ave.
This new clothing and toy spot is all about the Reckless Unicorn, a colorful unicorn character adorning onesies, t-shirts, tote bags, and more.
Created by Annie Segal and Derek Reckley, the shop bills itself as a mom-and-pop shop that's "a child's lifestyle haven" that "offers a comfortable place to unwind while enjoying a unique shopping experience. Annie has been in retail on and off her whole life (her father is retailer Fred Segal) and after starting a family and moving to Los Feliz, she and her creative artist husband Derek saw a big need for a one stop shop for all the families in and around the area."
With a five-star rating out of three reviews on Yelp so far, The Reckless Unicorn seems to be a welcome addition to the neighborhood.
Vanessa C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on August 13th, said: "Absolutely love this little shop. Came here last minute for a present for a unicorn loving little girl and found a cute plushy and some unicorn socks. They have a lot of adorable clothes and shoes."
Yelper Joseph R. added: “Such a magical place!!! I feel like the owners treat me as if I were a part of their family. Please check this place out if you have kids or need a gift. Really unique toys and cool clothes.”
And Jamie F. said: "So excited for this shop!!! I have many pregnant friends and friends with babies and this is just super cute!!!!"
