In need of some outdoor gear? The new location of REI, located at 1900 W Empire Ave. in Burbank, has you covered.
The new REI, which opened August 25th in the former Sports Authority space in the Empire Center, is the 150th location for the outdoor retail giant.
Expect an array of outdoor equipment on offer, like tents and camping gear, mountain bikes, outdoor clothing and a whole lot more.
In addition to the gear, REI offers classes on wilderness medicine, cycling, fitness and navigation techniques where you learn how to use a map and compass to find your way.
With a four-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp so far, REI has gotten a good response.
Chuck D., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 5th, said: "REI finally in Burbank in the former Sports Authority space. I've been a long time supporter and member of REI so I'm glad they have this location now. All your outdoor needs under one roof."
Yelper Val S. added: “This is a REI coop store, located in the huge shopping center which also houses Target and Lowe's, and off the I-5 at the Burbank Blvd exit. The staff are mega friendly and willing to help.”
