A new bakery, offering coffee, tea and more, has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Called Coffee Commissary, the new addition is located at 1419 W Kenneth Rd. in Glendale.
Coffee Commissary—which has four other locations throughout the greater LA area—features a variety of small-batch roasters like Temple Coffee, Coava, and Victrola Coffee Roasters, as well as a bakery and café with a full-service breakfast and brunch menu.
On the breakfast menu—which is served all day—expect to see items like smoked salmon toast with pickled onions and fried capers, pork belly burrito with pico de gallo, Texas tacos with brisket and jalapeños, and more.
Switching over to lunch, look for featured items like a fried chicken jalapeño sandwich, banh mi with pork belly and a sriracha mayo, a vegan veggie wrap with a vegan sausage patty and veggies, and more. (You can check out the full menu here.)
With a 4.5-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp so far, the new coffee shop is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Yelper Chloe H. said: “I work a few stores down and was overjoyed to see a Coffee Commissary opening up.”
And Adam W. said: "Checked the place out during their soft opening, before the kitchen opened to the public, and the wife has since dragged me back for another round of coffee. I expect good things from this location."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Coffee Commissary is open daily from 7am–8pm.
