A new bakery and French spot, offering sandwiches and more, has opened for business in the neighborhood. The fresh arrival to Melrose, called Mademoiselle M French Bakery, is located at 8010 Melrose Ave.
This new Parisian-style bakery features a variety of fresh-baked breads, viennoiseries, light lunch items and espresso drinks.
On the menu, expect to see treats like chocolate croissants, raspberry brioche, baguettes, various flavors of macarons, chocolate fondant cake, and more.
For lunch, there is a quiche lorraine with ham and Gruyere, the "Le Marcel" sandwich with turkey and egg on a baguette, and a Parisian salad. (You can check out the full menu here.)
The new bakery has already attracted fans thus far, with a five-star rating out of two reviews on Yelp.
Neil W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 14th, said: "Delicious sandwiches. Authentic French pastries. A great find right near The Mighty Company store!"
Yelper Sara T. added: “My husband is from France, and he always has said that it's very hard to find a bakery that has authentic baguettes and other French pastries. So I finally found this place and I went there, and they had the best baguette I've ever had in Los Angeles.”
