
If you've got Italian on the mind, a recent opening is need-to-know. The fresh addition to Downtown, called Testa, is located at 1111 S. Hope St.
This new eatery features handmade pasta dishes, elevated Italian fare, an extensive wine list, signature cocktails and more.
On the menu, expect to see items like tagliatelle with clams; steelhead ocean trout with a butternut squash puree; roasted chicken with escarole, yukon potatoes, brown butter, and capers; and pappardelle with carrot-braised pork.
For libations, there are an array of bottled beers, wine by the glass or the bottle, and signature cocktails like the "Crack Berry" with vodka, raspberry, and berry La Croix; and the "Oh Dear" with tequila blanco, dry vermouth, raspberries and lemon. (You can check out the full menu here.)
With a 3.5-star rating out of nine reviews on Yelp so far, Testa is getting solid feedback from clientele.
Briana M., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 24th, said: "This restaurant was by far one of the best experiences I have had; down to the service, the food quality and the overall ambiance of the atmosphere. The service was on point, in a timely manner."
