A new boba/bubble tea spot has opened for business in the neighborhood. Located at 1743 Colorado Blvd. in Eagle Rock, the newcomer is called Bobalicious.
The café serves a variety of customizable tea and boba drinks, along with a selection of small bites and snacks.
As with most boba cafes, customers can choose from an array of tea flavors as a base, like milk tea, green tea, black tea, oolong, and more. Select your choice of milk, toppings like egg custard, jelly and boba, and then add a flavor like honey, caramel, lemon, or red bean.
The cafe also offers a few snack items, like popcorn chicken, fried tofu, French fries, and corn salad.
The fresh addition has already attracted fans thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 20 reviews on Yelp.
Steven L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 16th, said: "What I like about boba places is that there is always a new one coming to an area near you when there isn't one. How about one near Echo Park instead of them all being around the SGV?"
Yelper Tram D. added: “This place recently opened up, and so a bunch of us decided to try this place out. Hubby ordered the red bean smoothie and I ordered the green tea with aloe vera. Mine was super yummmyyy!"
And Andy H. said: "Really hope this shop succeeds! The individuals opening/working there all seem very nice. It's still the second day of grand opening, but they're finding their way."
Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Bobalicious is open Wednesday–Monday from 11:30am–11:30pm. (It's closed on Tuesday.)
