There's a brand-new sushi bar in town. The new arrival to East Hollywood, called Ninjin Express, is located at 557 N Hoover St.

The menu at Ninjin Express is extensive, with a variety of appetizers, sushi, Japanese comfort food and Korean-inspired bi bim bap bowls.

On the sushi side of the menu, look for signature rolls like a baked salmon-topped California roll; the "Hot Night Roll" with shrimp tempura, crab, spicy tuna, cucumber, and a topping of tempura crumbs; and the Ninjin roll with tuna, salmon, crab, yellowtail, avocado and more.

Cooked dishes include chicken and beef teriyaki, tonkatsu, chicken katsu curry, and Korean bi bim bap with a selection of proteins and veggies.

The new sushi bar has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of eight reviews on Yelp.

James C., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on September 27th, said: "I [ordered] beef teriyaki and spicy tuna roll. It was so delicious, especially the beef teriyaki. Also comes in great portion of each order. Last good thing about this place: [it] has a parking lot right next to it."

Yelper Kii Iim A. added: “They make their food fresh and although $15 for chicken katsu curry rice is a bit steep, they make it up with their portion sizes ... the quality is legit.”

And Michelle Q. said: "Love the staff just as much as I love their food!"

Head on over to check it out: Ninjin Express is open daily from 4:30–10pm.
