Looking to chow down on some Pakistani fare? A new spot has you covered. Located at 22746 Roscoe Blvd. in West Hills, the fresh arrival is called Tawakal Tandoori.
The restaurant, which recently reopened under the new name Tawakal Tandoori—it used to be called Tawakal Halal Restaurant—and is serving up an array of Pakastani mainstays like kabobs, vegetable dishes and sides.
On the menu, expect to see items like chicken tikka, haleem in a spicy curry, ground beef and lamb kabobs, dal, biryani and more.
There are also sides with eggplant, cauliflower, and spinach as well as house-made naan and raita.
With a 4.5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Tawakal Tandoori has already made a good impression.
Nick N., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 13th, said: "Tawakal Tandoori is a gem for anyone who loves delicious authentic Pakistani food. Their portions are very generous and the food is simply delicious. My personal favorite is the sikh kabob."
Yelper Moe J. added: “My top favorite dishes I recommend to anyone coming here is these top 3 dishes. 1: Karachi Chicken 2: Seekh kabob 3: Chicken tikka.”
And Troy H. said: "This is a great spot for some delicious food. The flavors and portion size are just right for a hungry crowd. Try the behari kabob, which are tender chunks of marinated beef with their exotic spices."
