Hungry? A new neighborhood Mediterranean spot has you covered. The fresh arrival to DTLA, called Palikao, is located at 130 E 6th St.
Named after the owners' hometown in Algeria, Palikao is a new takeout spot that specializes in couscous bowls, with a variety of options to choose from.
On the menu, expect to see items like veggie couscous with root vegetables and kale; couscous salad with chickpeas, broccoli and sautéed greens; and more.
With a five-star rating out of 10 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has been warmly received by patrons.
Guillaume B., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 14th, said: "If you don't know what couscous is, you need to try it! Great meal, healthy, satisfying, and the perfect confort food."
Yelper Ottmane G. added: “Lionel will welcome you and will make you discover the best couscous of Los Angeles. There is something for every taste: original Couscous, gluten free couscous, and vegan couscous.”
And Claudius O. said: "We stumbled upon this little couscous restaurant/take away on the way to the flower market and we loved the way it looks and most of all, tastes. Fresh, light and healthy. We'll definitely be back."
Head on over to check it out: Palikao is open Monday–Saturday from 11am–9pm. (It's closed on Sunday.)
