There's a brand-new cocktail bar in town. Located at 11618 Ventura Blvd. in Studio City, the fresh addition is called Jalapeño Pete's.
This new spot features a variety of Mexican-inspired cocktails and libations, "Mexican Munchies," and 20 different tacos served daily.
On the menu, expect to see items like "Nachos del Rey" with chicken, a Oaxacan cheese blend, and pico de gallo; cheese quesadillas with shrimp; short rib taquitos, chicken flautas, and more.
On the taco menu, look for options like butternut squash, carnitas, al pastor, quinoa and avocado, and more.
There is an extensive drink menu on offer as well, with an array of tequila, mezcal, and signature cocktails. (You can check out the full menu here.)
Jalapeno Pete's has made a good impression thus far, with a four-star rating out of six reviews on Yelp.
Greg S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 17th, said: "I was a frequent Cocina Condesa visitor and was devastated when they closed, but when I saw the bright blue paint of Jalapeño Pete's when driving by, I knew something special was brewing."
Yelper J R. added: “My husband and I live around the corner and decided to check this place out last night. Cool gastropub with an AH-mazing tasting Mexican menu and off the chain drink specials.”
And Ray D. said: "Hot nachos and tacos and house margaritas... that's how we throw down on a Monday night! Baseball on the screens... and laughs at the bar... 2 for 1 drinks in Studio City!"
