A new smoothie spot, also offering bubble tea and shaved ice, has made its debut in the neighborhood. Located at 3128 W 8th St. in Koreatown, the new addition is called Yummy Monster.
On the menu, expect to see a variety of shaved ice desserts, in flavors like strawberry and mango, strawberry cheesecake, melon, and more.
There are also bubble waffles served in a cup, with flavors like plain, chocolate and green tea. You can also choose from an array of toppings, like sprinkles, marshmallows, chocolate drizzle and more.
Rounding out the menu are smoothies, bubble tea, and frappes made with chocolate, strawberry, or lychee.
With a 3.5-star rating out of five reviews on Yelp so far, Yummy Monster has gotten a good response.
Lynette R., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 15th, said: "I have only had their shaved ice bowls, which are pretty good! The employees there are nice and helpful. Free wifi too. It's a win-win!"
Yelper Seong I. added: “The place is very clean and tidy. I love the service and the drinks. The waffle was very unique and something original for me. Must try their waffles. It turned me into a yummy monster.”
