A new spot to score ramen and more has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called California Ramen Factory, the fresh addition is located at 4010 W 3rd St. in Koreatown.
This new ramen joint features a variety of elevated takes on traditional ramen standbys, as well as temaki sushi or nori "tacos."
On the menu, expect to see ramen dishes like the "Signature Tonkotsu" pork ramen with braised pork belly and shiitake mushrooms; the "Green Ramen" with house pesto sauce, chicken breast, and egg; and the "Black Ramen" with tonkotsu broth, black garlic oil, and a sweet umami sauce.
For temaki options, look for spicy tuna, braised pork belly, and salmon.
Rounding the menu out are sides like takoyaki, fried squid, and deep-fried crispy California rolls.
With a five-star rating out of 18 reviews on Yelp so far, California Ramen Factory is on its way to developing a local fan base.
Pascal S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on October 27th, said: "The ramen here is life-changing—and right in the middle of Koreatown, too! We ordered the spicy tuna roll, which came deep fried and delicious. We also ordered the green pesto ramen."
Yelper Rissie L. added: “New hot spot in LA?!! It was cute and spacious inside. The workers were friendly and were kind enoughto explain ordering from the iPad. I ordered the Green Ramen, which was made with homemade tonkotsu.”
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: California Ramen Factory is open Friday and Saturday from noon–midnight, and Sunday–Thursday from 11am–11pm.
