A new whiskey bar, sushi bar and Japanese spot has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Tamari Robatayaki & Whisky Bar, the fresh addition is located at 6731 N Palm Ave. in Bullard.
Housed in the same shopping center as Cracked Pepper, Parma and Bella Pasta, this upscale new spot offers not only sushi, ramen, and cooked dishes like chicken teriyaki, but robatayaki—meat cooked over a hot charcoal grill in the traditional Japanese style. Options include bacon-wrapped shrimp and grilled lamb.
The restaurant also offers an extensive selection of whiskey, including a wide array of Scotches, Japanese whiskies, and bourbons. There's also a large selection of cocktails, many of them made with whiskey or Japanese ingredients.
The fresh arrival has proven popular thus far, with a 4.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp.
Meg W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on December 26th, said: "We just tried this place today and it's really delicious! Everything was delicious and well seasoned. I love that the tempura was lightly battered and the sushi had no crazy sauces (I hate that)."
And Kail M. said: "This place is where you want to be to enjoy some of the finer things in life."
Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Tamari Robatayaki & Whisky Bar is open Monday–Wednesday from 11am–10pm, Thursday–Saturday from 11am–midnight, and Sunday from 11am–9pm.
