Looking to satisfy your appetite for Greek fare?

Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the best affordable Greek restaurants around Cleveland, using both Yelp data and our own secret sauce to produce a ranked list of where to get gyros, lamb chops and more.

1. Simply Greek

Topping the list is Simply Greek, a quick-service eatery in the Uptown district in University Circle. Located at 11454 Uptown Ave., the casual spot is the highest rated low-priced Greek restaurant in Cleveland, boasting 4.5 stars out of 127 reviews on Yelp.

The family-owned Simply Greek, which opened its first location in Bainbridge about four years ago, offers a small outdoor patio area as well as a few long tables inside.

On the menu, look for an assortment of gyros with seared or barbecue pork, chicken souvlaki, shrimp or the traditional beef and lamb. Burgers, salads and wraps are popular with the lunch crowd. For dinner, there's a full pound of Prince Edward Island mussels in tomato-basil broth, grilled lamb chops and slow-roasted lamb shank with veggies. Round out your meal with deep-fried baklava or the bananas Foster topped with Greek yogurt.

2. Gyro Guys

Next up is Old Brooklyn's Gyro Guys, situated at 4348 Pearl Road. With 4.5 stars out of 42 reviews on Yelp, the cafe and Greek spot, serving sandwiches and more, has proved to be a local favorite for those looking for an affordable option. Stop in for the daily specials or a family pack of four gyros and fries for $27.99.

Offerings include several signature sandwiches and gyros like the meat-heavy Colossus on warm pita bread or the Koumbaro (salami, ham, pepperoni, provolone cheese and veggies on a sub bun). Or build your own gyro bowl by choosing a meat, cheese and toppings.

3. Gyro World

Over in Kamm's Corners, Gyro World, located at 16860 Lorain Ave., is another top choice. Yelpers give the inexpensive Greek spot — with lunch and dinner combos selling for $8 and $9, respectively — 4.5 stars out of 38 reviews.

Known for generous portions, the counter-service restaurant features a simply decorated dining area with several four-top tables. Gyros come in three sizes and with a variety of fillings, with options like the Reuben (corned beef, grilled sauerkraut and Swiss cheese), the vegetarian and the chicken ranch. On the side, look for fresh-cut fries, breaded mushrooms and jalapeño poppers.
