A new combination barbershop and bar, promising a complimentary drink with every haircut, has opened its doors in Highland Park. Called Blind Barber, the space at 5715 N. Figueroa St. is the New York-based outfit's second location in Los Angeles.

In addition to cuts, Blind Barber offers a hidden backroom with cocktail bar where customers can sip on drinks like the Hot Heather and snack on offerings like the chorizo grilled cheese sandwich.

"A haircut should always come with a well-made cocktail," Blind Barber explains on its blog.

With a 4.5-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp so far, the new addition has already made a good impression.

"I've been going to the Culver City location since it opened six years ago. It's not close, but it's worth the trip. And now I don't have to make the trip at all," Jason C. said of the barbershop. "It's bright and beautiful and the staff is friendly — and you can drink bourbon while you get a great haircut."

And Heather I. said of the bar, "Walk through the barbershop and confidently go through the door in the corner to enjoy this amazing new addition to the good times on Fig. All cocktails are a reasonable $12, and there's quite a fun range between their regular and seasonal offerings."

Swing on by to take a peek for yourself: Blind Barber's barber shop is open from 11 a.m.–8 p.m. Tuesday–Saturday and from 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.) The cocktail bar is open from 6 p.m.–2 a.m. Monday–Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
