A new Lebanese spot has opened for business in the neighborhood. Called Lebanon Shawarma, the new addition is located at 303 1/2 N. Brand Blvd. in Glendale.

On the menu, look for offerings like beef, pork or Mexican-inspired shawarma with garlic sauce, tomato and hot peppers; and barbecue beef, chicken or pork with hummus, onion and sumac.

For burgers and sandwiches, expect to see variations like a double burger topped with cabbage salad, chicken burger with garlic sauce and pickles, and a pork tenderloin sandwich with mozzarella and corn.

The newcomer has made a good impression thus far, with a 3.5-star rating out of 23 reviews on Yelp.

Jolin E., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on April 29, said, "Fresh ingredients, very authentic. Their portions are also generous. We tried two kinds of soup - Mnati and Lentil soup."

Yelper Annis A. added, “I walked in unsure because their decor did feel like it was trying too hard. But god damn it. The Maria has become my new love. I feel like I'm cheating on my wife with this place. It's so good.”

Intrigued? Stop in to try it for yourself. Lebanon Shawarma is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. daily.
