This Saturday morning marks the fourth annual #ShineBright yoga session beneath the GE Chandelier in Playhouse Square. The free all-levels yoga class is open to all community members. Registration begins at 9 a.m. and the flow kicks off at 10 a.m.

13th Annual Ward 5 Community Family Festival and Parade

Join the Ward 5 community for its 13th annual family festival and parade this Saturday. From noon to 1p.m. the parade will run from East 30th Street and Community College Avenue to the festival site at Friendly Inn Settlement House Inc. on Unwin Road. Festivities throughout the day will include plenty of live music, entertainment and food.

Meet Larry Doby: Story time at the Baseball Heritage Museum

Bring the entire family down to the Baseball Heritage Museum to celebrate the life and legacy of Larry Doby, the first African-American player in the American League. The celebration will include an animated reading of the book "Just as Good: How Larry Doby Changed America’s Game" by Chris Crowe. The kid-friendly story and vivid illustrations share Doby's biography and the impact he made on baseball fans and the civil rights movement.
