1. Mount Royal Tavern

Topping the list is longtime neighborhood fixture Mount Royal Tavern. Located at 1204 W. Mount Royal Ave. in Bolton Hill, the dive bar known as the "Dirt Church" to locals is the highest rated in Baltimore, boasting 4.5 stars out of 49 reviews on Yelp. 

Yelpers single out the generous pours, affordable prices and unique character of Mount Royal Tavern, including the numerous art pieces covering the ceiling and walls.

2. Duda's Tavern

Next up is Fells Point's Duda's Tavern, situated at 1600 Thames St. With four stars out of 129 reviews on Yelp, this dive bar with a nautical theme has proven to be a local favorite. Yelpers praise the crab cakes, shrimp and fries basket, and good prices on popular local beers like Natty Boh (National Bohemian).

3. Cat's Eye Pub

Cat's Eye Pub, located at 1730 Thames St., is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the Fells Point dive bar four stars out of 98 reviews.

Cat's Eye stands out for its friendly service, 32 draft beers, and live music every night of the week. Due to the music, there is a cover charge after 9 p.m.

4. Club Charles
