If you're craving a classic Hawaiian salad made with fresh fish, a recent opening is need-to-know. Called Corner Poke, the fresh addition is located at 171 N. Maple St. in Toluca Lake and comes courtesy of the adjacent Red Maple Cafe

Patrons can customize their own poke bowls, with a choice of more than 25 ingredients. Protein options include ahi tuna, red beets, salmon and organic tofu, and toppings range from sweet onions and sunflower seeds to wasabi peas and tempura flakes.

Top everything off with Corner Poke's signature sauce, citrus ponzu, Sriracha aioli or basil cream. (Check out the menu here for a full list of offerings.)

With a four-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp so far, the new arrival is getting solid feedback from clientele.

C L., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 20, wrote, "Delicious, amazing sauces — unique selection that you really can't get at other poke spots (try the samples, each one is better than the last)."

"Mmmmmm! I love!" said Yelper Kiki T. "My favorite sauce is the signature sauce! ... As always the people there are super nice and the poke is tasty!"
