Hoodline crunched the numbers to find the top poke spots in Denver, using both Yelp data and our own super secret methods.

1. PokeCity

Topping the list is PokeCity. Located at 8101 E. Belleview Ave., Suite B1, the casual eatery is the highest rated poke spot in Denver, boasting 4.5 stars out of 340 reviews on Yelp.
Like many poke places, you build your own bowl at PokeCity. Proteins include tuna, salmon, shrimp, octopus and scallops. Add-ins include green onion, cilantro, spicy aioli sauce and sesame shoyu sauce, among others. Choose a base of either white rice, brown rice or spring mix, then top it off with things like corn, cucumber or pineapple. (See the full menu here.)

2. Ohana Island Kitchen

Next up is LoHi's Ohana Island Kitchen, situated at 2563 15th St., Suite 105. With 4.5 stars out of 173 reviews on Yelp, the Hawaiian spot, which offers poke and more, has proven to be a local favorite.
Some of its pre-built poke dishes include the Shoyu Poke (cubed ahi tuna that's been marinated in tamari and sesame, then garnished with sweet onion, scallions and sesame seeds) or the Spicy Tuna Poke (cubed ahi tuna tossed in spicy mayo with tobiko, then garnished with scallions and sesame seeds).
Other menu items include the King's Hawaiian Sliders (Kalua pork with slaw in a sweet roll with Sriracha aioli), Kalua Pork Bento Box (smoked pork butt with rice and Japanese pickles) and Hawaiian Guava Cake. (Check out the menu here.)

3. Rocky Fin Poke Bar

City Park West's Rocky Fin Poke Bar, located at 1245 E. Colfax Ave., Suite 103, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the eatery 4.5 stars out of 130 reviews.
Another build-your-own poke place, you first choose your base (white rice, brown rice, spring mix or tortilla chips), then a protein (tuna, salmon, spicy tuna, shrimp, tofu or chicken) and then go wild with toppings, sauces and add-ons. (See all the options here.)

4. Sushi Cup

Sushi Cup, which offers poke and more in Capitol Hill, is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 117 Yelp reviews. Head over to 208 E. Seventh Ave. to see for yourself.
Serving up pre-built poke bowls, build-your-own poke bowls and sushi rolls, it's got a lot of fresh flavors available. Poke options include the Unagi (eel, white daikon, mango, sesame seeds, crispy onions and eel sauce), the Red and Orange (salmon, tuna, white and yellow daikon, chopped nori and poke sauce), the Venice Beach (salmon, cilantro, red onion, pineapple, mango and sesame soy sauce) and the Sweet Soul (tuna, pickled white daikon, fuji apple, crispy onions and ponzu sauce), among others. Last but not least, there's s'ONO! on MSU Denver's Auraria campus. The popular spot has earned 4.5 stars out of 54 reviews. Stop by 900 Auraria Parkway, Suite 101-E, to hit up the Asian fusion spot next time you're looking to satisfy your cravings.
Its poke bowls are served over your choice of steamed white rice, brown rice or house salad. Pre-built combinations include the Jeju Poke (cubed tuna and salmon sashimi on a bed of lettuce, cucumbers, carrots, onions, avocado and sesame seeds topped with chirashi sauce), the Mile High Poke (ahi tuna, crab salad and avocado topped with spicy mayo, onions and sesame seeds) and the Taco Poke (ahi tuna, lettuce, avocado, pineapple pico, pickled jalapeños, spicy lime sour cream and Blazin' Asian sauce).
