A London-based bike shop promoting cycling culture has opened its doors in the neighborhood. Starting out as a pop-up last year, Rapha has settled into Georgetown with a storefront location at 3210 Grace St. NW.

The company was founded in London in 2004 by Simon Mottram, an experienced cyclist and marketing consultant who opened the business "in response to the lack of high-quality clothing and creative brands available to road cyclists at the time."

His D.C. establishment features cycling apparel for all sexes and seasons, ranging from merino jerseys and bib shorts to eyewear and leather goods.

A wide range of clubhouse events like exclusive exhibitions, workshops and live racing are also accessible to enthusiasts, as well as organized weekly group rides. Coffee and light snacks can be found in the clubhouse cafe, for those needing a pre-ride pick-me-up. (Visit here for more information or to browse Rapha's online inventory.)

Rapha has just two reviews on Yelp, which give it a five-star rating thus far.

Terinee B., who was the first Yelper to review the new spot on May 27, said, "So Rapha is a trendy cycling club in Georgetown that not only promotes the bike life, but also sells some awesome cycling gear AND is a coffee shop!"

"Besides the awesome cycling apparel, the store has a cafe serving coffee and pastries," shared Yelper Michael O. "The staff consists of mostly all the Rapha pop-up staff in D.C. and they are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about cycling."

Interested? Stop by to welcome the business to the neighborhood. Rapha is open from 8 a.m.–7 p.m. on Monday–Saturday and 8 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday.
