The proprietors of Wondee Siam, which was established in 1996 in Hell's Kitchen, have opened a second Thai spot next door at the same address. Called Thai Noodle House, the emphasis here (as the name suggests) is on noodles — thin, flat, egg or vermicelli, served dry or in a soup.

Several soups are on offer, including tom yum, sukhothai and beef noodle. The menu also features Thai classics like pad Thai, curries and papaya salad, along with crispy half duck in a tamarind sauce and salmon with Thai herbs. For dessert, there's fried banana and sticky rice with mango or coconut milk.

With a five-star rating from three reviews on Yelp so far, Thai Noodle House is being warmly received by patrons.

Elizabeth L., who reviewed the new eatery on June 3, wrote, "Same owners as Wondee I next door, but with an emphasis on noodle soups. Really flavorful soup, and very generous with the meat. ... The atmosphere is more spacious and quiet, and there doesn't seem to be a wait yet."

And Yelper K D. added, "Was so excited to see this new addition in the neighborhood. This is one of the most authentic Thai places in the city. The noodles are the specialty and taste just like home. My new go-to place!"
