Poke is trending in Denver right now, and the tide of new eateries has yet to ebb. The next time you're craving a poke bowl, be sure to check out one of these new spots.
Poke Club
1520 Stout St., Suite 1-A, Downtown

Poke Club is a spot to score poke bowls.
You can either create your own bowl or select one of its signature bowls, the latter of which include the Buddha Bowl (cold tofu, green onion, seaweed, salad mix, seaweed salad, edamame, corn, tomato, pineapple, cucumber and your choice of sauce), the Chicken Karaage Bowl (fried chicken, furikake, salad, crab mix, edamame, corn, carrot, cucumber, spicy sauce and dried seaweed) and the Rainbow Bowl (tuna, salmon, seaweed, green onion, tofu, fish egg, crab mix, carrot, pineapple, tomato, cucumber, sesame seed, dried seaweed and your choice of sauce). (See its full menu here.)
Yelp users are excited about Poke Club, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of six reviews on the site.
Yelper Ryan P., who reviewed Poke Club on June 20, wrote, "Fresh fish and great options for a poke/rice bowl. Will be back soon! You can even make your own bowl instead of ordering the signature bowls."
Mathew F. added, "I've had poke from many different places and I must say this one is the hands down best one I've had so far; I'd rate them 10 stars if I could. I definitely recommend the combination tuna and salmon with the spicy house sauce. All their ingredients were fresh. This is my new go-to spot for lunch."
Poke Club is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. on weekdays and noon–9 p.m. on weekends.
Hi Tide
2449 Larimer St., Five Points

Hi Tide is an Asian fusion spot, offering poke, seafood and more.
The main concept at the restaurant is to build your own poke bowl. You choose your size, base, protein, sauce, mix-ins and toppings in order to customize your poke bowl to your taste. There are also signature bowls available if you don't feel like getting creative.
Other menu items include the Hawaiian Kalua pork sliders (smoked pork shoulder, grilled pineapple salsa and pickled Fresno chiles on a King's Hawaiian roll) or the shrimp toast (pork and shrimp filling and gomashio on white bread with creamy Sriracha dipping sauce). (See the full menu here.)
The new place also serves up alcohol, including canned Hawaiian beers, wines, cocktails and frozen sake.
With a five-star rating out of 12 reviews on Yelp, Hi Tide has been garnering rave reviews.
Mike T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 7, said, "This is poke elevated to Mile High. I went for their Yuzu Salmon and loved it. This isn't like other poke places where they fill the bowls up with stuffing and heavy sauce. You can tell there was some serious thought put into the combination. The flavors of the sauce complemented the fresh salmon instead of masking it."
Grant H. noted, "Hands-down best yellow tail bowl in town! If you like spicy, be sure to add the charred habaneros. Don't worry, they have an ice bucket full of canned vodka mules and other drinks to cool you down. Great staff and love the atmosphere."
Interested in giving it a try? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Hi Tide is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Tuesday-Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)
Aloha Poke Co
3501 Wazee St. (inside Zeppelin Station), Five Points

Aloha Poke Co is a poke place in the Zeppelin Station food hall.
Like most poke places, they have signature bowls or you can create your own. Unlike most poke places, you still customize the house specials a bit. You pick one of three sizes, choose a base of either mixed greens or rice and then decide if you want ahi tuna, salmon or tofu (marinated or plain). Once you've got those down, you can either choose one of three house bowls (Aloha, Crunch or Volcano), which are predefined mixtures of veggies and toppings, or you can make your own. Regardless of which way you go, you finish it off by choosing a sauce. (See the full menu here.)
With a 3.5-star Yelp rating out of eight reviews on Yelp, Aloha Poke Co is still finding its way, but it's early days.
Yelper Kevin N., who reviewed it on March 19, said, "This was my first time having poke and it was delicious! They have set poke bowl options, but you can also customize your own. They let you add as many options as you'd like for no extra charge, so that was fantastic."
Yelper Alisha K. wrote, "Definitely check out Aloha Poke Co in Zeppelin Station. Dare I say it's the best poke in Denver? Yes. Yes it is. My buddy and I came here for lunch and we were happily surprised with the quality of fresh ingredients. I had the marinated salmon over mixed greens with pineapple and fresh jalapeños, cucumber and scallions. My friend got the crunchy bowl with ahi tuna. We both agreed that every bite was delicious."
Aloha Poke Co is open from 10 a.m.–midnight daily.
