If you're craving a sandwich for lunch, why not try a new place? Denver's three  newest sandwich shops offer everything from Vietnamese bánh mì sandwiches to classic Reubens.

Daikon is a fast-casual Vietnamese spot that focuses on bánh mì sandwiches, plus rice bowls and salads that include bánh mì fillings and flavors.

On its website, Daikon touts its high quality meats that are slow braised in an Asian barbecue style.

For your bánh mì, you can choose pork, brisket, chicken or vegan jackfruit. Pair your meal with soda, iced coffee or beer. (See the full menu here.)

Daikon has received a favorable response, with a current Yelp rating of four stars out of 25 reviews.

Yelper Todd B., who reviewed it on June 19, wrote, "I like that their menu is so simple. I had the pork sandwich with hoisin sauce and 'all the fixins' plus a lemonade. It tasted fresh and healthy thanks to all the veggies."

Peter B. added, "Delicious bánh mì has finally arrived as a neighborhood gem! Daikon has all I could ask for as a great lunch or dinner option. Go for the brisket (it's amazing), but the jackfruit as a vegetarian option tastes surprisingly like the brisket."

Daikon is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. daily.

Potbelly Sandwich Shop

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is a national chain where you can score fast-food sandwiches and salads. This is Denver's fifth location.

Its sandwiches include the Cuban, the Italian (capicola, mortadella, pepperoni and salami with provolone cheese) and the Mediterranean (hummus, feta cheese, artichoke hearts, cucumbers and roasted red peppers). (See the full sandwich lineup here.)

Potbelly Sandwich Shop currently holds 3.5 stars out of two reviews on Yelp, but it's still early days.

Payton H. wrote, "I'm addicted to Potbelly sandwiches! But, beyond the food, the energy at this location is always so welcoming and sweet. The staff is beyond friendly and kind."

Potbelly Sandwich Shop is open from 7 a.m.–8 p.m. on weekdays, 11 a.m.–8 p.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on Sunday.

Curtis Park Delicatessen serves up sandwiches, coffee and tea. Freshly baked bread arrives every morning from City Bakery, the deli says on its website, with all condiments and pickles made in-house.

The selection of sandwiches includes the Curtis (corned beef, sauerkraut, Swiss and Thousand Island dressing), the Park (fried egg, prosciutto, white cheddar and butter) and the Fish (smoked rainbow trout, aioli, blue cheese and capers). (You can check out its full menu here.)

Yelpers are excited about Curtis Park Delicatessen, which currently holds five stars out of 16 reviews on the site.

David T., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on May 21, said, "It's neat, clean and there's even a roll-up window to give it a slightly indoor/outdoor feel."

Yelper Amy B. added, “I had the veggie sandwich, and it was to die for! I am not a big lunchmeat person and have tried many veggie sandwiches at many sandwich shops. I absolutely loved this veggie sandwich, and will be trying every sandwich on the menu if they are as good as the veggie.”

Curtis Park Delicatessen is open from 10 a.m.–6:30 p.m. on weekdays and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
