The Grateful Gnome Sandwich Shoppe & Brewery is a new brewpub, offering sandwiches, beers and more.
Sandwiches include the pepperoni and provolone, chicken salad, Reuben, BLT, cheesesteak, bacon cheeseburger, turkey club, tuna melt and more. Besides sandwiches, you can find soups and salads. (See the full menu here.)
It also makes its own microbrews (alongside other local offerings). Its beers include a brown ale, blonde ale, pale ale, tangerine wheat, Belgian blonde and session stout, among others. (See the beer list here.)
The Grateful Gnome Sandwich Shoppe & Brewery currently holds four stars out of 25 reviews on Yelp, indicating that it's shaping up to be a favorite among locals.
Yelper Christopher B., who reviewed the newcomer on June 6, wrote, "It didn't quite work out for me to have a sandwich, but those who did raved about it, so I am hoping to make it back soon. ... I was there to try some of the beer. I had three — an IPA, blonde and weiss. They were all really good, living up to what I've heard."
Bri M. noted, "I have now had four sandwiches from this rad spot. The BLT is massive and amazing, the breakfast sandwich is out of this world, the turkey club is my favorite and the Reuben is absolutely mouth watering."

Wendell's

Wendell's is a diner that serves up breakfast and brunch. According to the Denver Eater, it's named after writer Wendell Berry and is set up as a throwback to "classic spots where I used to hang out with my grandad as a kid,” according to chef Patrick O'Neill.
Menu offerings include the veggie sammie (summer squash, marinated peppers, burrata, gem lettuce, piquillo aioli), chicken fried steak (with one sunny-side up egg, hash browns, red-eye gravy and grilled kale salad), croque monsieur (ham, Gruyere, bechamel, herb butter and boule) and the Hometown egg scramble (with bacon, tomato, kale, avocado and cheddar). Wendell's's current Yelp rating of four stars out of 23 reviews indicates the newcomer is on its way to becoming a neighborhood favorite.
Yelper Sothary C., who reviewed the diner on May 5, wrote, "The pancakes are huge and worth every penny, especially with the fresh butter and berry compote. The shoestring fries were also a great addition to my meal. Great casual dining!"
Yelper Tracie B. wrote, "Excellent service and absolutely loved the Wendell's breakfast poutine — perfectly cooked eggs over mushroom/sausage gravy on top of a large pile of crispy shoestring potatoes. "

The Tatarian

The Tatarian is a cocktail bar that draws inspiration from nature to create its drinks by using herbs, roots and spices.
Cocktails include the Methuselah (Absolut Elyx, contratto aperitif, pamplemousse liqueur, Bitter Truth elderflower liqueur and house orange bitters), the Drunken Tree (tequila blanco, mezcal, ginger syrup, honey syrup, lime juice, lemon essential oil and clove tincture), and the Bodhi (chai tea infused pisco, allspice dram, coconut cream syrup and demerara syrup). Yelp users are pretty excited about The Tatarian, which currently holds five stars out of 34 reviews on the site.
Megan R., who reviewed it on April 3, noted, "I went with a tiki-inspired drink called the Kapok. I'm not exaggerating when I say this is the most beautiful drink I've ever had in Denver! Every ingredient and accoutrement is expertly mixed and placed to create this amazing cocktail."
Yelper Joseph W. wrote, "They have some very intricate and unique drinks. I ended up ordering the Tatarian and I really enjoyed it. They definitely put a lot of effort into the drink mixing."
