Acova is a New American spot that comes from the same team behind The Hornet on South Broadway. The newcomer occupies the building that formally housed Patsy's Inn for 95 years.

Notable menu options include the Fisherman's Stew with mussels, calamari, crab, cod, onions and white beans; veal osso buck with Parmesan polenta and spicy greens; lobster mac and cheese with bacon and panko crumbs; and fried chicken and potatoes. BorraCho Tacos, located in the collective eatery Avanti Food & Beverage, serves its tacos a la carte for under $5 each.

Beer bar Cerveceria Colorado serves up house-brewed beers that are inspired by the flavors of Mexico.

Check out the Churro Stout with milk stout and fresh churros in the mash aged with cinnamon; the Nopalito, a wheat beer with cactus leaves; and the Horchata Blonde, a sweet brew made with lactose sugar, rice, cinnamon and vanilla.

Yelpers are excited about Cerveceria Colorado, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of 14 reviews on the site.

Dead Battery Club is a cocktail and wine bar serving Mediterranean-style fare. According to its site, the name is a literal suggestion to come in and unplug from your phone in order to re-create the vibe of an old-school bar.

The menu includes cocktails like the Lithium (rye, caffe amaro, orange bitters, demerara sugar and rum-burnt coffee beans); the Pal V (vodka or gin, apricot liqueur, lemon and luxardo cherry); or the Need Juice (apricot brandy, chai tea, strawberry, apple, citrus and honey). According to Westword, owner James Zheng, who has operated the original location on East Colfax Avenue for four years, is offering mostly Chinese fare along with a variety of East Asian dishes.
