Looking for the best workout in Washington? One of these new spots might be just what you're seeking. Here are the newest places to check out.

Orangetheory Fitness 

2401 Pennsylvania Ave. NW, Foggy Bottom

National chain Orangetheory Fitness, which has numerous outlets in the D.C. area, continues to expand with a new fitness studio on the West End. 

The company says it maximizes calorie burn with 60-minute group classes guided by an instructor. Sessions are high-intensity and split between strength training floor work and cardio. Trainers use treadmills, rowing machines and free weights for variety and to target different parts of the body. Heart rate monitors provide constant feedback. 

Yelpers are still warming up to the new studio, which currently holds 3.5 stars out of five reviews on the site.

Hazel C., who reviewed it on July 6, wrote, "Orangetheory is everything it's cracked up to be. High-intensity workouts. The instructor was motivating but not overwhelming. I think everyone needs to try this at least once."

Yelper Mary T. wrote, "When I first heard about Orangetheory I thought it would would intimidating, but it's far from it. You get the guidance you need from the trainers (who have all been helpful and friendly so far), and everything is done at your own fitness level."

Orangetheory Fitness – West End/Foggy Bottom is open from 5 a.m.–8 p.m. on Monday-Thursday, 5 a.m.–7 p.m. on Friday and 8 a.m.–2 p.m. on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)

Dynamic Pilates and Fitness

Dynamic Pilates and Fitness is led by local instructor Ryan Hodgkinson. His new studio is housed within the Toolbox Pilates Art Studio in Dupont Circle.

There you'll find personalized instruction in strength building and movement to increase fitness or to rehabilitate post-injury. Hodgkinson uses Pilates machines, mat exercises and the TRX suspension and resistance equipment to facilitate these exercises. Students can schedule one-on-one appointments or attend with a friend.

Dynamic Pilates and Fitness is receiving positive feedback with a current Yelp rating of five stars out of five reviews.

Yelper Melissa P. wrote, "Throughout the time I have worked with Ryan, he has customized my workouts to strike the perfect balance between focusing on rehabilitating some significant injuries I've had and pushing me to do new and more challenging exercises when I'm ready to do so."

Kathe W. noted, "Ryan is fabulous. He is extremely knowledgeable about all Pilates machines, exercises, mat workouts, and also a fabulous general trainer. I saw improvement within weeks of weekly private lessons."

F45 U Street

Finally, F45 U Street is a gym that provides interval training, circuit training and personal training.

With locations around the world, Australia-based F45 offers a rotating series of 45-minute high-intensity workouts designed to provide a balance of strength, cardio, speed and agility. The workouts vary every day, and there's a live DJ on Saturdays.

F45 U Street currently holds five stars out of five reviews on Yelp, indicating good reviews.

Yelper Franklyn S., who visited the gym on June 27, wrote, "Tremendous workout. I've been working out for a few years now, tried so many different things and this workout challenges me and pushes me beyond my limits."

Yelper Amira A. wrote, "Great workout experience! Great coaches, different workouts every day, and you definitely feel it the next day. I highly recommend it if you need a good sweat in just 45 minutes."

F45 U Street is open from 6:30 a.m-8 p.m. Monday-Friday and 9 a.m.-noon on Saturday. (It's closed on Sunday.)
