Leven Deli
123 W. 12th Ave., Civic Center

Leven Deli is a classic delicatessen. Among its sandwiches, you'll find the Classic Pastrami (12-day pastrami and deli mustard on toasted rye), the #19 (smoked turkey breast, Swiss cheese, slaw and house sauce on toasted rye) and the Chix Hogie (marinated chicken with grilled peppers and onions, plus feta, pickled onion, tahini yogurt and za'atar on a toasted French roll).

Yelpers are excited about Leven Deli, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of four reviews on the site.
Cooper S., who was the first to review the new spot on July 30, wrote, "The real deal! First of all, just get the pastrami: it's out of this world. The most perfect, moist, so-satisfying version of this sandwich I've had. ... The place is clean, very modern and spacious and the people that work there are super helpful."
Jennifer L. added, "Pastrami sandwich was simply delicious. Iced tea, refreshing. ... The staff were welcoming and service was excellent."

Denver Ted's
2020 Lawrence St., Unit A, Five Points

Denver Ted's is a spot to score cheesesteaks and more. The eatery was a popular spot in Capitol Hill that closed down in May 2017. According to the Denver Post, it was supposed to open up again in July of that year, but was delayed until now.
The menu offers cheesesteak sandwiches like the Peyton (pepperoni, marinara and provolone), the Elway (lettuce, tomato, mayo, Cheez Whiz, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper) and the Real Baconator (mushrooms, mayo and bacon). (See the full menu here.)
With a 3.5-star rating out of 14 reviews on Yelp, Denver Ted's has been getting mixed attention.
Lazer P., who reviewed it on July 21, said, "One of my absolute favorite spots. Ted's is the authentic real deal when it comes to cheesesteaks. So happy they're back and the new location is great."
Gary K. noted, "This place is no better than Taste of Philly or any other average cheesesteak place except they are super overpriced, as a large steak with mushrooms, onions and Cheez Whiz comes out to practically $14."
Denver Ted's is open from 11 a.m.–11 p.m. daily.
Rye Society

Rye Society is a delicatessen, offering sandwiches, soups and salads for breakfast, brunch and lunch.
Its signature sandwiches include the Green Gables (smoked turkey, bacon, avocado, red onion, tomatoes and horseradish aioli), the High Society Tuna Salad (pickles, celery, red onion, dill, horseradish, mayo and cheddar on brioche) and the Rye Reuben (corned beef, baby Swiss, sauerkraut and Russian dressing). Rye Society is off to a strong start with a current Yelp rating of 4.5 stars out of 25 reviews.
Lisa S., who reviewed it on Aug. 6, said, "This place is wonderful. Real authentic Jewish deli food that tastes amazing! Sandwiches, soup, breakfast and desserts. Very friendly staff and owner. You won't regret eating here."
