Indie singer Mirah at Ballard Homestead

Indie singer/songwriter Mirah will be in Seattle to show off her eclectic sound. The Brooklyn-based performer recently released her sixth full-length album, "Understanding," which embraces "spirited imperfection and rawness inclusive of rough first takes, natural room sounds and a fair amount of broken equipment," per her website. See Mirah with special guest ings (aka Inge Chiles), a guitarist and composer now living in Seattle.

Waveform: Music + Tech Event

This collaboration of music and live workshops brings together some of Seattle's best synthesizers for an inside look at how technology manipulates music and why artists use them. Expect new sights and sounds from Noel Brass Jr., Raica DJ sets and more. Hands-on music and tech workshops are available all day.

When: Sunday, Sept. 9, noon-4 p.m.

Look Up Fest

Dubbed a paranormal music festival, this event features local psychedelic dream pop bands, multimedia art experiences and a number of beers on tap. This community-driven and artist-run experience is open to all ages and features both well-known and lesser-known artists from the Pacific Northwest.
