Bowl Gogi is a Korean eatery that offers customizable bulgogi (more meat) and bibimbap (more veggies) meals on top of a base of white rice, brown rice or salad.

Choose between beef, pork, chicken and salmon bulgogi and add three types of veggies from the add-on list, which includes bean sprouts, zucchini, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, pickles, egg and more. Bibimbap comes in chicken, beef, spicy pork or tofu. Check out the menu here.

Yelpers are excited about Bowl Gogi, which currently holds 4.5 stars out of five reviews on the site.

Lizzie K. noted, "An awesome experience at the soft opening! The food is awesome and the customer service is amazing. You get to really customize your bowl to suit your cravings!"

Yelper Jacob C. wrote, "A pleasureable experience all around. It's exactly what I needed. Matter of fact, it's exactly what this area needs."

Bowl Gogi is open from 11 a.m.–5 p.m. on weekdays. (It's closed on weekends.)

Department Bento is a Japanese and Asian fusion spot from Seattle chef Tom Douglas, who owns 16 restaurants around the city, including Lola, Dahlia Lounge and Etta's. This is his first project on the east side, and Department Bento is a fast-casual build-your-own concept inspired by Japanese bento boxes.

Diners choose between a bento box, rice bowl or salad, then pick a main such as curried chicken with garlic mayo; seared tofu with shallots; or albacore tuna poke with seaweed. Finally, the meal is topped off with a choice of veggies. Here's the menu.

Department Bento has received mixed reviews on Yelp thus far.

Gary P. noted, "Really good food. Had the bento box with teriyaki steak, matcha green beans, ginger carrots, miso devil egg, kimchi, picked daikon, cucumber and two types of rice ... The steak could have been warmer but the flavor was great."

Yelper Cathy M. wrote, "I liked the concept but the food was so confusing to me. Everything was so lukewarm that I really craved something warm to fill me. Instead, I just felt sad."

Department Bento is open from 11 a.m.–8:30 p.m. on Monday-Saturday and 11 a.m.–6 p.m. on Sunday.
