A range of diverse yoga classes are on offer, including Yinyasa, Flow, Inversions and therapeutic Acro. The spot also holds yoga workshops, taught by experts and designed to examine specific topics, poses and forms. (Visit the website here for upcoming events and the current class schedule.)

Yoga Hive, a spot in Garfield, is another much-loved go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 40 Yelp reviews. Billed as a refuge for both instructors and students alike, the establishment features classes for all skill levels, from gentle yoga designed to reduce stress to Let's Flow — a no-nonsense vinyasa class that will have you wiping the sweat from your brow.

"You always work up a sweat," shared Yelper Jamie K. "Most instructors do a nice job of framing the practice in the context of a sometimes stressful and discouraging world. What did we learn on our mats that we can apply in life? Physical and mental wellness are given equal attention."

Over in Lower Lawrenceville, check out Yoga Factory, which has earned four stars out of 89 reviews on Yelp. You can find the yoga spot at 3418 Penn Ave., right next door to the Pittsburgh Juice Company.

Several invigorating yoga classes are available, designed for both beginners and experienced yogis. Come try the original hot yoga, or bring your little ones to Yoga Monsters — a class where children are "encouraged to use their imagination and knowledge of the natural world to play yoga, building their self-confidence and self-expression."

4. Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh

And then there's the Iyengar Yoga Institute of Pittsburgh, a Squirrel Hill favorite with five stars out of 15 reviews. Stop by 2721 Murray Ave. to try the popular yoga spot.

"Iyengar Yoga is uniquely dedicated to accessibility through detailed instruction and adaptation," says the institute on its website. Teachers modify yoga postures when necessary using props such as blocks and blankets to allow for deeper and longer holds of the poses.

Programs for all skill levels are available, including specialty classes like Happy Joints designed for those suffering from arthritis, pain or limited range of motion in the joints. (You can view the full class schedule here.)
