We took a data-driven look at the question, using Yelp to analyze which eateries have been most discussed this month.

To find out who made the list, we looked at Denver businesses on Yelp by category and counted how many reviews each received. Rather than compare them based on number of reviews alone, we calculated a percentage increase in reviews over the past month.

New York Deli News

Local staple New York Deli News is trending compared to other businesses categorized as "breakfast & brunch" on Yelp. 

Citywide, breakfast and brunch spots saw review counts increase by a median of 2.7 percent over the past month, but New York Deli News saw a 3.4 percent increase, maintaining a mixed 3.5-star rating throughout.

It's not the only trending outlier in the breakfast and brunch category: Snooze, an A.M. Eatery has seen a 21.3 percent increase in reviews.

Located at 7105 E. Hampden Ave., New York Deli News offers breakfast fare like the New York bagel with cream cheese; the corned beef, pastrami and eggs; French toast with bacon or sausage; and the lox, eggs and onions. Combos include a coffee.

Acova

Whether or not you've been hearing buzz about Highland's Acova, the New American spot is a hot topic according to Yelp review data.

While businesses categorized as "American (New)" on Yelp increased their review counts by a median of 2.3 percent over the past month, Acova bagged a 17.7 percent increase in reviews within that timeframe, maintaining a solid 4.5-star rating.

Open since May at 3651 Navajo St., Acova's menu features dishes like the bistro steak with whipped potatoes; the Fisherman's Stew with mussels, calamari, crab and cod; and veal osso bucco with Parmesan polenta.

Revelry Kitchen

West Highland's Revelry Kitchen is also making waves.

Open since 2015 at 4140 W. 38th Ave., the well-established breakfast and brunch spot has seen a 5.7 percent bump in reviews over the last month, compared to a median review increase of 2.5 percent for all businesses tagged "American (Traditional)" on Yelp.

There's more than one hot spot trending in Denver's traditional American category: Quality Italian has seen a 6.2 percent increase in reviews.

Revelry Kitchen has a chef-driven menu with options like the Revelry Burger with cremini mushrooms, Swiss cheese and horseradish creme fraiche; the bacon crabcake Benedict with Cajun hollandaise; and the lobster BLT sandwich. Over the past month, the restaurant has maintained a solid four-star rating among Yelpers.

Blue Agave Grill

LoDo's Blue Agave Grill is the city's buzziest Mexican restaurant by the numbers. The popular spot opened two years ago at 1201 16th St., Suite 104. Its original location is in Fort Collins. 

The eatery increased its review count by 5.8 percent over the past month, an outlier when compared to the median review increase of 2.1 percent for the Yelp category "Mexican."

Blue Agave Grill offers an extensive menu of modern Southwestern and Mexican fare, including tequila lime chicken, mango fish tacos, grilled shrimp skewers, an adobe pork burrito and more.
