Elite Garden Cafe

Elite Garden Cafe is a Mediterranean, Armenian and Middle Eastern spot serving up "quality interpretations of classic dishes and daring new ventures into the uncharted territories of food," says the eatery on its website. 

Look for menu offerings like feta cheese fries; sturgeon marinated in red caviar sauce; and Pozharsky — a breaded ground chicken cutlet stuffed with mushrooms. (You can view the full menu here.) 

Yelpers are excited about Elite Garden Cafe, which currently holds five stars out of three reviews on the site.

Tony K., who reviewed the eatery on Sept. 24, wrote, "Amazing food and exceptional service. ... My personal favorite were the tuna salad and the beef stroganoff — both incredible!"

"This place has the best vibes and I will definitely come back," added Yelper Diana O. "The Armenian/Mediterranean food is made with love. The live singers give off a great atmosphere and the owner is very nice and involved, to make sure everyone's experience is amazing."

Elite Garden Cafe is open from 12:30–11 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 1 p.m.–1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The Hungry Trader

The Hungry Trader is an Arabian, Indian and Asian fusion spot inspired by culinary travels along the Silk Road, "that took adventurous traders thousands of miles from far east Asia through India, Arabia and onto the rest of the world."

Menu offerings include Middle Eastern specialties like beef shawarma wraps with tahini sauce, Indian tandoori-chicken salad with curry mango vinaigrette and chickpea rice bowls with garlic aioli. (You can view the full menu here.)

Yelpers are generally positive about The Hungry Trader, which currently holds four stars out of nine reviews.

Douglas C., who reviewed it on Sept. 15, wrote, "I Had the Arabic chicken shawarma wrap with garlic sauce and my wife had the Indian tandoori chicken bowl with raita. Both were amazing! Chicken was juicy and flavorful and the sauces where really good."

    Kebbros

    Kebbros is an organic restaurant and bar, offering doner kebabs made using fully automated robotic spits in Hollywood. 

    Founded by brothers Romeo and Sergio Syfrig and Ana Syfrig (Sergio's wife), expect to find a build-your-own concept complete with customizable bases, proteins and add-in options like red cabbage, pickled jalapeños and marinated tofu cubes. (See the full menu here.)

    With 4.5 stars out of 42 reviews on Yelp, Kebbros appears to be a welcome addition. 

    Yelper Willy Rowell C., who visited the restaurant on Sept. 9, wrote, "Delicious, different, great value, organic and beautiful interior design. What more can you ask for? Kebbros is such an awesome addition to Cahuenga Boulevard in Hollywood."

    And Yelper Chey B., noted, "Let's start with the kebab itself. Love, love, love that I could choose every single ingredient, even avocado, and had the choice of about six or more different sauces. On top of it, all organic, I mean try getting that somewhere at a kebab joint in Europe." 

    Kebbros is open from 11:30 a.m.-10 p.m. on Sunday-Thursday and 11:30 a.m.-11 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. 

    Halaloglu

    Halaloglu is a Turkish, halal and Middle Eastern eatery situated right on the edge of Exposition Park. 

    Menu offerings include halal farm-to-table dishes such as parsley beef and lamb kebabs; Turkish street tacos; and a vegetarian hummus sandwich with purple cabbage and tantuni salad. (You can check out the full menu here.)

    With a 4.5-star rating out of 57 reviews on Yelp, Halaloglu has been getting positive attention.

    Yelper Steffi L., who reviewed it on Sept. 9, wrote, "The flavor combinations used here are unique in a good way — and the menu itself was a far cry from the standards you typically see at Middle Eastern restaurants."

    "My new favorite place to eat around the campus," added Yelper Abdulmajeed A. "Food is so delicious! I tried the Istanbul burger and it was amazing. The chicken wrap is delicious too! They also have hummus and Turkish desserts."
