2018 Georgian Contemporary Film Festival: 'Blind Dates'

First up, the Embassy of Georgia will screen "Blind Dates" at the Healey Family Student Center of Georgetown University. One of the entries in the 2018 Georgian Contemporary Film Festival, the film about life and love was directed by Levan Koguashvili, who will be present for a discussion afterward. There is no cost to attend.

'Martin' Trivia Live

Next, Friday is trivia night at RedRocks on H Street. This time out, you'll compete on your knowledge of 1990s sitcom "Martin."

Film screening: 'Cornelis'

Finally, the Embassy of Sweden hosts a free screening of "Cornelius," the story of one of Sweden's greatest music legends, Cornelis Vreeswijk. The Dutch-born Vreeswijk gained popularity in the 1960s for his singing and guitar playing, but his Bohemian and sometimes self-destructive lifestyle made him a controversial figure. His son, Jack, composed the score for this 2010 film.
