Deli News is a deli, offering sandwiches, burgers, breakfast and more.
On the menu, you'll find dishes like the Hungarian goulash (chunks of meat stewed in a gravy and topped with carrots, then served over egg noodles), the baked meat loaf (with thick brown gravy, mashed potatoes and steamed vegetables) and the roast beef brisket (with brown gravy, potato pancakes and one side). Sandwiches include the corned beef, the pastrami and the Reuben. It also offers burgers and sausage plates.
With a four-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp so far, the new deli has made a positive impression.
Trish W., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 20, wrote, "I ordered pancakes, bacon and scrambled eggs. My food was delicious and was exactly how I ordered it. The ambiance of the restaurant is your typical New York-style deli. In the chef case, you can buy delicious items to-go, such as whitefish salad, various cream cheeses with your bagels, egg salad and, my favorite, their tuna salad!"
Yelper Alex M. added, “This place is the best deli sandwich shop in the DFW area. This is their second location. You need to try their Reubens and bagels here."

Rotolo's Craft & Crust

Rotolo's Craft & Crust is a new beer bar and Italian spot, offering pizza and more. According to its website, the business, which has four locations in Louisiana in addition to the one in Frisco, is a spinoff concept of Rotolo's Pizzeria and is an attempt to return to its roots.
On the menu, you'll find pizzas, calzones, sandwiches, pasta, Buffalo wings and more. Dishes include pizzas like the Figgy Piggy with oil, mozzarella, fig spread, prosciutto, Gorgonzola, shaved asiago and balsamic reduction, and the Big Apple with tomato sauce, mozzarella, pepperoni, Italian sausage, ricotta, oregano and red pepper. Then there are calzones like the Bayou BBQ Chicken with barbecue sauce, mozzarella, chicken, red onion and cheddar.
With a 3.5-star rating out of 14 reviews on Yelp so far, the new business is off to a solid start.
Bonnie S., who reviewed it on Nov. 11, said, "Their cauliflower gluten-free crust was on point. My husband and I brought our one year old here on a Sunday and they nailed it. Fast service. Delicious food. Clean environment. Our son devoured the chicken Alfredo."
Katie N. noted, "Best pizza and wings ever. Real pepperoni with the fancy dollops of mozzarella on the pizza, which makes it not too heavy."

Butcher Board

Butcher Board is a new sandwich shop, which also offers salads, tacos, breakfast and more. This is its second location after the one in McKinney
On the menu, look for sandwiches like the Whole Hog with pulled pork, smoked ham, bacon, Swiss and barbecue mayo; the TX Pecan Chicken Salad with pecan-dill mayo, apples, apricots, onion, celery, tomato and local greens; and the Black Eyed Pea Falafel with avocado spread, cucumber, tomato, red chili harissa and fresh sprouts. Also available are salads, baked potatoes, tacos and desserts.
It's off to a strong start with four stars on Yelp out of 11 reviews.
Jerry V., who reviewed it on Oct. 4, wrote, "This is a very high quality, chef-driven, organic, locally-grown, farm-sourced restaurant. The beef and pork come from as far away as Colorado. So expectations are high. They offer sandwiches, salads, a baked potato dish, tacos and a few other items. ... Service was fast and friendly. The food was outstanding."
Kathleen H. noted, "Butcher Board lived up to what some friends told me it would be. Unique high quality meats, smoked to give great taste. It was interesting to listen to them talk about how fresh the meat and vegetables are."
Butcher Board is open from 11 a.m.–9 p.m. Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.–10 p.m. on Saturday, and 8 a.m.–8 p.m. on Sunday.
GoodFella's Brick Oven Pies

GoodFella's Brick Oven Pies is a new spot to score pizza and more.
Signature pizzas include the Four Seasons with mozzarella, mushrooms, artichokes, black olives and prosciutto; the Great Grape with a four cheese blend, seedless red grapes, gorgonzola, rosemary and optional fennel sausage; and the Pizza Alla Vodka with mozzarella, vodka tomato cream sauce, mushrooms, peas and prosciutto. GoodFella's Brick Oven Pies has gotten an enthusiastic response thus far, with a four-star rating out of 17 reviews on Yelp.
Angie H., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Oct. 20, wrote, "We tried the Meat Lovers and a build your own with pepperoni, bacon and mushroom. The crust was delicious and they had very generous toppings. The caesar salad was very fresh and so good. The croutons tasted like homemade. We also loved the baked wings."
Yelper Jinny C. added, "Incredible. Prices are reasonable considering they use better ingredients and have unique pizzas that are hard to find in this area. Friendly faces, fast service, good pizza."

Layne's Chicken Fingers is a new fast casual chicken shop. Established in College Station in 1994, the chain has five other locations.
The simple menu offers chicken fingers and chicken sandwiches, crinkle-cut fries, Texas toast, dipping sauces and milkshakes. (See all your options here.)
It's off to an uneven start with three stars out of 13 reviews on Yelp, but it's still early days.
David G., who reviewed it on Sept. 26, wrote, "Tons of chicken finger options in Frisco and this one did nothing to stand out. It was decent though and food was served hot. Do like the size availability of their combos."
Angela S. noted, "Food was so good: hot, fresh and filling. Had the three piece meal with the best homemade lemonade in town. Sauce is better than Cane's, the honey mustard is great!"
The new spot has yet to post its hours online.
