Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar is a New American spot, offering burgers and sandwiches. This is the California-based chain's fourth location in Texas; it also has outposts in Nevada, Colorado and Illinois. It has a dog-friendly patio.

On its extensive menu, you'll find burgers, sandwiches and full entrees. Options include the pulled pork sandwich with house barbecue sauce, blue cheese slaw and crispy onions on a toasted bun; the barbecue bison meatloaf with smoked bacon, red-skin potato mash and sautéed spinach; and sesame-crusted ahi tuna with cauliflower mash. (See the full menu here.)

Wash down your meal with one of the local craft brews or try the sampler featuring six four-ounce tasters.

Lazy Dog Restaurant & Bar has already attracted fans thus far, with a four-star rating out of 38 reviews on Yelp.

Kimberly Y., who reviewed it on Oct. 21, said, "Everything that I've gotten from here has been so good, and usually I have a tough time picking what I want since so many things look appetizing. However, I do recommend the fried deviled eggs as an appetizer. I've gotten them every time at Lazy Dog just because they're that good. I believe they also have rotating seasonal items."

Scott B. added, "I love this place. Great service. Great food. Great drink specials. They also allow dogs to come join the fun. Bring your best friend to eat with you."

Hungry? Stop by and welcome it to the neighborhood: It's open from 11 a.m.–midnight on weekdays and from 9 a.m.–midnight on weekends.

Beer & Brats is a German-themed sports bar, offering sausage, burgers and more. It occupies the same address as the former World of Beer.

On the menu, expect to see items like the Slider Burger (Angus beef patty topped with lettuce, tomato, onion and pickle), the Texas Highway (grilled beer-brined chicken breast with bacon, guacamole, Swiss and chipotle mayo) and the Street Tacos (choice of protein with roasted tomato & corn salsa, shredded lettuce, avocado, cilantro and queso fresco).

Yelp users are generally positive about Beer & Brats, which currently holds four stars out of eight reviews on the site.

Yelper Gerry C., who reviewed Beer & Brats on November 2, wrote, "The beer selection is great and the bartenders are friendly and helpful. Personally, I like sitting at the bar here rather than the table service. If you are here strictly to eat, you could be less impressed, but after relaxing with a beer or two the menu is the perfect bar fare."

Yelper Jill R. wrote, "My brat was amazing. The truffle fries were sinfully delicious. I loved every beer on my flight. I'm glad I gave this place a chance because I will be back again and again."

Beer & Brats is open from 3 p.m.–midnight on Monday-Thursday, noon–2 a.m. on Friday, 11 a.m.–2 a.m. on Saturday, and 11 a.m.–midnight on Sunday.
