Ready to discover the newest restaurant and retail additions to Dallas? From a designer doughnut shop to a fast-food Mediterranean restaurant, read on for the newest businesses to make their debut near you.
Jaram’s Donuts is a spot to score doughnuts and more. This is the second location for the local business, with the original store situated over on Preston Road.
On offer at the new spot are artisan doughnuts, cronuts, klobasneks and more. The doughnut place also caters events with custom specialty doughnuts, including weddings, office parties, baby showers and more.
The newcomer has gotten mixed reviews thus far, with a three-star rating out of seven reviews on Yelp.
Andy M., who was the first to review it on Nov. 30, wrote, "Finally a great doughnut shop near my house! I had the small bacon klobasnek and a chocolate doughnut. Both were amazing! This is such a great addition to the neighborhood."
Ray F., however, noted, "Gorgeous looking doughnuts in the display cases! But no idea what they are. The extensive menu board is hard to see in small font on the side wall. At least young kids will love it as they look over the options. Customer service is painfully slow, not knowledgeable about the products and not friendly at all. Lots of extra and unneeded steps in the ordering process."
Try it out: the new doughnut shop is open from 6 a.m.–noon Monday-Saturday and from 7 a.m.–1 p.m. on Sunday.
Khao Noodle Shop is a Laotian and Thai spot, offering tapas and more.

LoAn Q. who reviewed it on Dec. 13, wrote, "Flavor. Explosion. That's all you need to know folks. A very neat idea for this part of Dallas. Bringing authentic street food and ambiance to a brick and mortar. Upon walking in, the decor is simple yet vibrant, from the table settings, all the way to the plastic chairs, it immediately transports you to a little eatery that you would expect if if you were traveling overseas."
Yelper Ross W. added, “[It is] such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. ... We had their shrimp, jerky, boat noodles and dry noodle preparation. I could [not] get over how rich and satisfying the boat noodles were. [The] shrimp were excitingly sweet and bright.”
Khao Noodle Shop is now open from 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–9 p.m. on Tuesday-Thursday, 11 a.m.–3 p.m. and 5–10 p.m. on Friday, noon–10 p.m. on Saturday, and noon–6 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday.)

All were awesome and exceeded my expectations. The sandwich was big enough to split between two of us. The menu is short and sweet, offering some great brats, sandwiches and snacks."
Sherry M. noted, "This place has the best Reuben I've ever had. Really chill vibe, great selection of beer and tasty grub."
Stop in on Tuesday-Thursday from 3–10 p.m., Friday and Saturday from noon–11 p.m., or Sunday from noon–8 p.m. (It's closed on Monday.)
