Topping the list is Flowers In the Attic. Located at 7505 Saltsburg Road, the spot is the highest rated New American restaurant in Penn Hills, boasting 4.5 stars out of 35 reviews on Yelp.
This unique spot is a cafe, gift shop and florist all rolled into one. The lunch menu includes Attic signature dishes such as Jack O'Pumpkin flatbread and Aussie eggs Benedict.

2. Mohan's Restaurant

Mohan's is an institution in Penn Hills, having opened its doors in 1963. The restaurant is known for its universal friend chicken, which is a popular take-out item. The kitchen once turned out 15,000 chicken wings for a catered event, according to the website.
If you are not craving chicken, Mohan's has other menu items like soup, salad, sandwiches and pizza.
Whatever you decide to order from the menu, you won't walk away hungry, as Mohan's is also known for its large portions.
3. Bites Restaurant
Bites Restaurant, located at 6022 Saltsburg Road, is another top choice, with Yelpers giving the New American spot four stars out of 13 reviews.
The spot opened in late 2017, so it's still a baby compared to Mohan's up the street.
The menu includes salads, burgers, seafood, chicken and many sides. The food is made fresh to order, so you may have to wait a bit for your food. Give the fried shrimp a try, along with the loaded baked potato. If you still have room, order the banana pudding, or at least get it to go.
