If you've got Mediterranean on the mind, a recent opening is need to know. Called Ash'Kara, the newcomer is located at 2005 W. 33rd Ave. in Highland. The restaurant's name is slang for "totally!" or "right on!" in Hebrew, according to the location's website, and serves Israeli and Middle Eastern cuisine.
Look for hummus and other dips like muhammara and labneh. Small plate options include the Israeli salad with za'atar ranch, chickpeas and feta, and lamb kofte with lamb, saffron yogurt and pomegrante molasses. For the main course, it offers duck or vegetable tagine and wood fried whole fish, which includes striped bass. (To check out the entire menu, click here.)

Danielle D. noted, "Everything here was so delicious. Pita, hummus, olives, lamb tagine, everything. So flavorful, so delicious. We loved this place and will definitely be returning."
