Among the few types of offenses that saw an uptick last week, reports of assault went from 75 to 93, and vandalism rose from 23 to 27.

There were 503 reports of "other" crimes, a decrease of 23 from the previous week. SpotCrime's broad "other" category includes a variety of offenses like fraud, trespassing, public disturbance and traffic violations. Of those incidents, 137 involved arrests, such as for drug possession, up from 114 reported arrests the week before.

Regarding when most crimes are committed, Tuesdays, Thursdays and Wednesdays produced the most reported crimes last week. The largest decrease from the previous week occurred on Mondays, Fridays and Wednesdays, while incidents on Saturdays, Tuesdays and Thursdays went up. Late afternoon, late morning and evening continue to see the most crime incidents.
