Topping the list is deli North Shore Deli. Located at 539 E. Ohio St., it's the highest rated business in the neighborhood, boasting five stars out of 30 reviews on Yelp.

This spot serves huge sandwiches, hoagies, soups and salads. Try to finish the Reuben sandwich, made with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese and Russian dressing. 2. Max's Allegheny Tavern

Next up is German pub and restaurant Max's Allegheny Tavern, situated at 537 Suismon St. With four stars out of 223 reviews on Yelp, this little piece of Germany in the Northside has proven to be a local favorite.

The spot serves German classics like Sauerbraten, Knackwurst with Kraut, Bratwurst and six varieties of schnitzel. Tea room Arnold's Tea, which offers sandwiches and desserts along with its brews, is another top choice. Yelpers give the business, located at 502 E. Ohio St., 4.5 stars out of 67 reviews.

This spot serves coffee and tea, along with sandwiches, wraps, salads, soups and dessert. The basic tea offered daily includes English Breakfast tea, gunpowder green and the barista's choice. Other options include signature teas like twisted ginger, white teas and and green teas from around the world.

4. Bistro To Go

Bistro To Go, a New American spot that offers salads, sandwiches and more, is another much-loved neighborhood go-to, with 4.5 stars out of 62 Yelp reviews. Head over to 415 E. Ohio St., Suite A to see for yourself.

This spot offers a different menu for every day of the week, but the New Orleans shrimp, crab and chicken gumbo is available everyday. If you stop in on a Wednesday, try the Buffalo chicken mac and cheese. On Friday order the honey BBQ meatloaf with frizzled onions. 5. Legends Eatery

Finally, there's Legends Eatery, a local favorite with four stars out of 150 reviews. Stop by 500 E. North Ave. to hit up the Italian spot, which offers desserts and salads, next time you're in the neighborhood.

This spot serves Italian food to Northsiders. On the menu, expect bruschetta and fried house-made mozzarella from the small plate section, a full selection of pastas and specialties like Veal Parmigiano and La Chicken Caccia with roasted red peppers and capers.
