A new beer bar, offering burgers and more, has debuted in the neighborhood. Called Golden State, the fresh addition is located at 241 S. San Pedro St. in Little Tokyo.
This is the beer and burger joint's second LA location. The menu features burgers, sandwiches, salads and sides. Look for The Burger with beef, cheddar, applewood-smoked bacon, arugula, aioli and ketchup,with some jalapeño cabbage slaw on the side. You can also pair up your meal with some ice cream or a float. The new beer bar has garnered rave reviews thus far, with a five-star rating out of 15 reviews on Yelp.
Isaac Y., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on Jan. 6, wrote, "The food was amazing. The portion sizes were extremely generous. Location wise, the restaurant is set in the heart of Little Tokyo close to many bars and arcades around the area."
Yelper Shelley C. added, “The Burger has everything you need in a burger. Great selection of beer on tap. It's a big space with tons of seating at tables or the bar. They have a TV going all the time with whatever sports game is playing that day."
