Spring 2019 Workshop: Call 'Em As You 'Ear 'Em

Led by AU's Linguist-in-Residence, you will learn things like whether "flour" and "flower" are pronounced identically, how many syllables there are in "file" and how to use phonetic transcription as a tool for sharpening hearing.

Xi Zeta Omega Chapter: Youth Service Awards and Youth Oratorical Contest
On Sunday, join the Xi Zeta Omega chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority for this free showcase at the Kelly Miller Middle School in Northeast Washington. Under the theme "Take Me to Harlem," you'll enjoy visual and performing arts from young artists, as well as an oratorical contest and an announcement of service award finalists.

Shakespeare for the Young: Adventures in Arden
