You'll laugh and you'll cry at "Aleichem Sholom," the Santa Monica Playhouse's new musical comedy about Sholom Aleichem. Veteran performer Chris DeCarlo stars as the Yiddish author and playwright, whose stories about a dairyman named Tevye inspired the play "Fiddler on the Roof." The musical, the fifth Sholom Aleichem-based play from the Playhouse, chronicles the highs and lows of his life.
