Franky's Brick Oven Pizza Bakery & Deli is a pizzeria that also offers sandwiches on its freshly baked bread. The family-owned joint offers dine-in, takeout and delivery.

The wood-fired pizzas on offer include standard choices like pepperoni, combination and all-meat, as well as house specials like the Fruit and Veggies: mushrooms, peppers, broccoli and many more vegetables, plus sun-dried tomato, pineapple and pesto.

The pizzeria's current Yelp rating of four stars out of three reviews indicates a solid reception for the newcomer in its early days.

Yelper Karen C., who reviewed Franky's on February 2, was disappointed in the spot's current lack of a liquor license, but wrote of the pies: "Excellent pizza! Crust was perfect and the flavor was awesome!"

And Chris C. noted of the all-meat pizza, "The crust was perfectly brown and crisp with a nice chew to it... The toppings were of high quality and plentiful. The cheese was also nicely brown. Their sauce is thick with just the right blend of spices. A big plus, this wood fired pizza was not charred or wet in the center."

Franky's Brick Oven Pizza Bakery & Deli is open from 2 p.m.–10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 2 p.m.–midnight on Friday and Saturday.

East Village Vintage Collective is a vintage and consignment store specializing in clothing. It also has a location in New York city.

In addition to clothing, the small woman-owned business also sells accessories, cassettes and CDs, housewares and toys. You can check out some of the current merchandise at its website here.

The new thrift store's current Yelp rating of three stars out of four reviews indicates the newcomer is finding its way, but it's still early days.

Yelper Beth R., who reviewed the vintage shop on January 1, wrote, "For $20 I bought a dress that looks like Versace made it. Also some cute shoes with acrylic heels for only $20. ... It is a good selection for anyone  who loves vintage, from funky to glam. Also the service is excellent."

And Jennifer G. noted some hiccups with the service, but said, "[S]election in the store was pretty decent. When shopping around you definitely have to look at each individual piece since everything is sorted by color rather than size."

East Village Vintage Collective is open from noon–7 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m.–7 p.m. on weekends.

Fishweir Brewing Company

Fishweir Brewing Company is a craft brewery located in the space of a former nightclub. Owners Broc and Stacey Flores, along with brewer Dan Frye, opened the taproom in December 2018.

On tap, you'll find the company's Kung Fu On the Porch IPA, B.A.R.B. Brown Ale, Bromance Belgian Blonde Ale and more. There's also a selection of wine, kombucha and sparkling water.

Hungry? Pair your beers with a cheese flight or pretzel, or order at the bar from next-door neighbors Murray's Taco Bodega. You can check out the current menu here.

The new brewery currently holds 4.5 stars out of eight reviews on Yelp, indicating a warm welcome from patrons thus far.

"The place is nice, [you] can definitely tell that the lady owner had her hand in designing [and] creating the place," Bobby B. noted, recommending the Bait & Switch beer in particular. "Staff were friendly and the brews were good."

Yelper Loralye E. wrote, "Beer is good and most home-brewed if I remember correctly. Prices were decent. ... They don't have any food, but partner with the taco place next door, and you can order tacos and bowls at the bar and have it brought over."

Fishweir Brewing Company is open from 3 p.m.–10 p.m. on Wednesday and Thursday, 3 p.m.–11 p.m. on Friday, noon–11 p.m. on Saturday and noon–8 p.m. on Sunday. (It's closed on Monday and Tuesday.)
