From Topaz's caretaker:

Topaz is a beauty. She was a stray and never claimed. We think she is a golden retriever mix and a lab mix. She is a sweet girl and a real love. She loves to catch treats in her mouth. Mack, poodle mix

Mack is a male poodle mix staying at Hearts of Gold Rescue of NM, Inc.

Mack is a social animal, and he'll get along great with your other dogs. His vaccinations are already up to date, and he's been neutered.

From Mack's caretaker:

What a handsome boy! Mack was found as a stray and never claimed. He had a tangle of white curls, all of which had to be shaved off. Poor guy had all kinds of stickers and fox tails in his hair and embedded between his toes. Fortunately we were able to get him cleaned up with the fox tails removed. His personality blossomed when he was shaved down and it was obvious that he was one happy boy – and he felt so good! His hair will grow back in to beautiful white curls. He wants to make sure that his new owners take him to the groomers on a routine basis so he always looks handsome.

Bailey, poodle and bichon frise mix

Bailey is a male poodle and bichon frise mix being cared for at New Mexico Animal Friends.

His vaccinations are up to date, and he's been neutered. He still needs some guidance on proper house training.

From Bailey's caretaker:

Bailey is one handsome boy with his fluffy white coat and piercing blue eyes and at just under 20 pounds, a great size!! He came to NMAF as an owner surrender from a home where there are just too many dogs when his mom downsized living space recently. He was originally adopted from the Albuquerque Shelter system in 2017 - not much is known before that. Bailey is what is called a "dominant male" so should not live in a home with another male dog - though he can live fine with non dominant females. He loves, loves, loves to go to the dog park and plays with all kinds of dogs there so it appears his dominance is tied to his home environment. Once Bailey gets to know you he is very social and affectionate - it takes a couple of meetings for him to get to that point so he will need an owner that is willing to take the time to let him get comfortable.

Rubia, chihuahua

Rubia is a female chihuahua dog currently residing at EnchantMutts, Inc.

Rubia gets along well with other dogs and cats, but she's looking for kid-free forever home. She's vaccinated, and she's been spayed.

From Rubia's caretaker:

Who says semi-seniors don’t rock? Well this Rockette Retiree is looking for a lifelong hooman to call her own! When her previous owner recently passed away - a nice lady decided to help find her a new home and not take her to the shelter so Rubia is searching for that perfect home and believe us – she still has some moves! This tiny little Chihuahua – Rubia - is around 7 years old and weighs in at a whipping 8lbs! Ok – she should be only about 5 but she loves her treats and since she left the rockettes behind …. well we all know what happens then! She loves her people and once she bonds she makes the best lap-cover ever – she especially likes her lady laps! Guys are ok but she just prefers her ladies.

Frosty, rat terrier and chihuahua mix

Frosty is a female rat terrier and chihuahua mix staying at PACA/AAR.

Frosty plays well with others — she gets along well with other dogs. Her vaccinations aren't up to date quite yet, and she hasn't been spayed yet. She's still working on getting house trained.

From Frosty's caretaker:

Frosty is a little sweetheart. At first she is a little shy and it takes a little bit to warm up but once she does she is quite a snuggler and loves attention. This goes for people and dogs. She is good with dogs and came from a home with many dogs her size. She loves to run around the yard and do zoomies. She is now in a foster home with another dog who is quite larger than her, she was frightened at first but now follows him everywhere. She is an easy keeper and has a great disposition.
