There's a brand-new restaurant in town. The fresh arrival to DTLA, called Bon Temps, is located at 712 S. Santa Fe Ave.
The new addition comes courtesy of chef Lincoln Carson, Eater LA reports, a restaurant industry veteran who is using Bon Temps "to elevate his love of French cooking."
Specialties include black truffle risotto, Maine scallops with morels, ramps and peas; and lamb ribeye with summer squash, socca and aleppo pepper. A raw bar is on offer as well, along with desserts, cheeses and signature cocktails. (You can view the full menu here.)
Bon Temps has proven popular thus far, with a five-star rating out of 11 reviews on Yelp.
Topanga S., who was among the first Yelpers to review the new spot on June 11, wrote, "My husband and I celebrated his birthday here last night. Everything was so perfect. We couldn't ask for anything better. Service was impeccable. Food was amazing and desserts! You must try the cheesecake."
"Everything we ate here was wonderful," wrote Yelper Jenna A. "We can't wait to go back and try more items. ... We had the Maine lobster to start. It tasted so fresh and the aioli was a tasty compliment."
Interested? Stop by to welcome the new business to the neighborhood. Bon Temps is open from 5:30–10 p.m. on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday and 5:30–10:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday. (It's closed on Tuesday.)
