There were 38 reported fraud or financial crimes last week. That represents a decrease from 40 incidents the previous week.

Among the few types of offenses that saw an uptick last week, reports of drug-related offenses went from 45 to 74. Incidents of auto theft rose from 194 to 202, and theft went up from 459 to 464.

There were 998 reports of miscellaneous other crimes, an increase of four from the previous week. Other crimes include a variety of offenses like trespassing, public disturbance and violation of a court order.

As far as where crime is concentrated in the city, Northeast Dallas, Southeast Dallas and South Boulevard-Park Row Historic continued to have the most reported incidents last week.

Cedar Crest saw the largest decline. Crime reports in City Center District also fell, after increasing the week before, and incidents in the Love Field Area are down considerably as well.

Regarding day and time factors, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday had the most crime incidents last week. The largest decrease from the previous week occurred on Monday, Thursday and Friday, while incidents on Wednesday, Sunday and Tuesday went up. Comparing times of day, late morning, mid-day and late afternoon saw the most crime last week.
