Gabby is an adorable 2-year-old pug who was found running down the freeway in Bakersfield after she had been hit by a car. She was very traumatized, and it took a very long time for her to warm up to us and trust us. She is doing wonderfully in her foster home. She would be fine in a home with children as long as they are not overly rambunctious or crazy. She bonds very hard with her person and will follow them around like a shadow. We would like to see Gabby go to a home where there are other dogs present as well because we feel that she has really blossomed by having other dogs in her life from whom to learn.

Belle is a sweet female boxer and pit bull terrier mix currently residing at Bakersfield Boxers and Bullies Rescue.

Belle loves other dogs. She is looking for cat-free forever home. She is already spayed and vaccinated. She is already house-trained.

From Belle's current caretaker:

Belle is about 3-4 years old. She’s been through some training and did very well with learning commands quickly. As an only dog, she is timid and has a harder time with strangers, but she blossoms with a confident, non-reactive dog companion. She will absorb the confidence and manners and enjoy having a friend and that will, in turn, help her enjoy her family. We can’t wait to find that person who knows how to bring her out of her shell and into her full potential.

Bliss is a lovable female English bulldog and boxer mix in the care of Bakersfield Boxers and Bullies Rescue.

Bliss loves other dogs. Her ideal forever home would be a cat-free environment. She's mastered her house-training etiquette. She's already spayed, and she has all her shots.

Bliss is a 50 lb., 4-5 year-old English bulldog mix. She is a very happy and very loving dog. Her energy is wonderful, and she is mellow and fun to have around. She is always polite, easy to walk on the leash and you can take her anywhere without worrying at all. She loves car rides, and she is great with kids of all ages and dogs. Although she is perfectly dog friendly out in public, she prefers to be an only fur child in the home. She is not a high energy dog; she is happy to go on walks, but just as happy to just relax at home.

Dilly is a female chihuahua mix in the care of Mutts and Runts Rescue.

Dilly loves kids, cats or dogs. She's already house-trained. Her vaccinations are up to date, and she's spayed. Dilly is a special needs pet, so please inquire about her specific care requirements.

Dilly is new to our rescue. She’s about one year old. She’s a cuddly, fearless girl who’s accustomed to joining her foster family on outings. Now for the fine print- she is about 90% blind. She is still playful, still capable of learning (blind dogs' sense of smell and hearing are their main senses) and will still be an excellent companion. Sebie may be big, but he thinks he is small and that's OK...we let him think that. Sebie is a gentle and sensitive larger-sized dog. He really is in-tune to his person. There are many unique qualities about Sebie. They include being friendly, loving the Starbucks drive-thru for Puppacinos, balls and toys. He will toss them, carry them, run with them and share them with you. We would love nothing more than to see Sebie in a forever home where he is a part of the family.
